Available Now from Shiloh House Press:
A prose LP. A concept album in words. Across five A-side tracks and a B-side, Now You See tells the tale of a band that met an untimely end—and of a haunted young man who must confront insidious, malevolent forces in the process of uncovering the truth. Set in a deep cut of the underground music subculture, Now You See unpacks the tragic fate of the coolest band you’ve never heard of, through an amateur music journalist’s memoir. Grief, guilt, and the phenomenal dangers of repression are central to this handmade 9x9-inch die-cut work of typographic “fiction” in the macabre tradition from avant-garde author and artist Cliff Hensley.
“Author-Designer”
Cliff Hensley is an author of prose and poetry working in the mediums of metafiction, surrealism, magical realism, slipstream, dark fantasy, and macabre horror. His writing often incorporates typographic trickery and nonstandard construction to enhance immersion while blurring the line between plain text and visual art.
Filmmaker
He is a guerrilla, no-budget, and chamber filmmaker. In 2004 he won Best Director for his first no-budget feature at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. His newest, the chamber thriller What Lies Within, is a magical work: a personal, noncommercial achievement screened through invite-only limited events—for now.

Cliff Hensley is a co-founder of indie publishing house Subtle Body Press and co-editor of counterculture literary journal Seven Story Hotel. He has also written for the world-renowned cyberpunk-fantasy tabletop roleplaying game Shadowrun and third-party content for doom-metal dungeon crawler Mörk Borg.
