The Beginning. Again.
Well, here it is—my redesigned home on the web. Refurbished. Renovated. Like a house, if you will; a new coat of paint, and so on and so forth. Yes, the update was long overdue, but a lot is happening now (routes have been set, courses corrected), and it’s become clear to me how I want to handle the cybersphere. My plan, such as it is, is old school (perhaps detrimentally so; time will tell): I’ll make this place the mainline for keeping in touch with you, eschewing the many “global town squares” ruled by algorithmic overlords; it feels much cozier inviting you into my proverbial home instead. You can join my mailing list and be notified straightaway of updates. I will also—ironically, I know—use the various social media platforms to notify of changes as well, so feel free to click whichever icon(s) you prefer in the upper right corner of the navigation bar and give me a follow. As you can see, I’ll still make use of social media, but I’d prefer to put the nitty gritty here, where it’s unlikely to get lost in your Timeline based on what the Algorithm thinks you should see at any given moment. No matter what does or doesn’t show up on your feed, just pop on over to make sure you didn’t miss anything “important”.
Speaking of updates—next up for me is Spooky Empire in Orlando, Florida. It’s my first time at this con; I’m looking forward to it immensely! I’ll be there all weekend (October 27-29), signing copies of Now You See. If you’re there too, please stop by my booth; I’d love to chat with you. I’ll even have copies on hand—if you don’t have one yet, you can rectify that at the con.
Best Wishes in the interim,
Cliff
P.S. — Here’s hoping I’ll really follow through on updating this newsfeed, unlike the first time I tried doing something like it—a “blog”—way back when I was still kind of an asshole.
